I worked with Reed, an international business support agency, to design their first AI tool. This was used used over 4000 times in the first month and was #2 on Google for Interview Question Generator.

Our aim was to build a tool that would generate interview questions based on criteria selected and determined by the user. I broke the inputting of information down into four easy steps: Select the role, seniority and industry, key skills and provide personal details. As the designer, I also created the results page and the landing page for the tool, whilst the engineers managed the integration with ChatGPT.
As this tool will become part of a suite of AI tools I designed a landing page that will form a template for further tools. This will act as a gateway to the tool and contain content around what the tool is and how it works, as well as provide SEO opportunities.
I really wanted this tool to be genuinely useful to users and not become a gimmick. I endeavoured to not only create a seamless UX but also include features that would provide maximum flexibility without convoluting the tool. The user can do the following:
Refresh all questions once they are on the results page with the same search criteria
Refresh all questions with new search criteria
Refresh individual questions
Re-order questions
Delete questions
Lock questions and refresh all so these ones don't change
All of this functionality was replicated in mobile as well.
Furthermore, in an effort to create a genuinely useful tool, the exporting options include download, email and copy. I saw copy as the most essential to include as this would easily allow users to copy the questions into their work chat on any platform and share with their teams immediately.
I also included a micro-interaction bring clarity when providing feedback to the user that the questions were copied.
